  • Select an Investing Style (Value, Growth, Momentum)

  • Select your stock screening strategy

  • Click the "Go" button

  • A new window will open with results from MSN Deluxe stock screener.

Value Investing Screens

Dogs of the Dow
The most famous mechanical stock picking strategy. The Dogs of the Dow invests in Blue Chips (stocks in the Dow Jones Index) with high Dividend Yield.

Dow Under Dogs
An alternative to the Dogs of the Dow investing in the Dow Jones Stocks with worse 52 weeks performances.

Reasonable Runaways
James O'Shaughnessy's popular strategy looks for companies with Low Price to Sales Ratio and buy them when the market has started to push their price up (High Relative Strength).

Tiny Titans
Tiny Titans is simply Reasonable Runaways with micro caps (25M-250M). Pay great care to liquidity and Bid-Ask spread. High Volatility.

Growth Investing Screens

Jim Slater Small Cap Growth
A Small Cap GARP (Growth At Reasonable Price) stock screen adapted from "The Zulu Principle" by Jim Slater. It includes both Value (Low PE), Growth (Low PEG), Safety (Cash Flow > Dividend) and Momentum (High Relative Strength).

Cornerstone Growth
O'Shaughnessy's best performing strategy looks for companies with positive Growth, reasonable valuation and high Relative Strength. It includes both Value, Growth and Momentum.

Magic Formula Investing
Joel Greenblatt's popular GARP strategy buys profitable companies when they are cheap. The screen uses the PE/ROC ("Price/Earning" to "Return On Invested Capital" ratio) to rank stocks.

Momentum Investing Screens

CANSLIM
The most popular Momentum strategy from William O'Neil looks for small caps with Earning Growth Acceleration and high Relative Strength.

MAGNET Investing
An interesting alternative to CANSLIM. Jordan Kimmel's MAGNET invests in stocks with Revenue Growth Acceleration, high Relative Strength and reasonable valuation. Can be used with large Cap. May highlight very few stocks !

Additional Information

Many stock screens (Reasonable Runaways, Cornerstone Growth, Magic Formula Investing, MAGNET) work with most Market Capitalizations so you can use the Market Cap setting (Large Cap, Small Cap, All) to suit your risk profile.

Some screens such as Cornerstone Value are not proposed here as it is not possible to build a suitable strategy with MSN Deluxe stock screener.
